Park City Mountain Resort
With over 7000 acres of groomed trails, Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in the United States. It is consistently rated in the top 10 family ski resorts in America every year. Park City was considered the home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Park city is the training ground for several professional athletes including Shaun White and Tanner Hall. Park City is an elite skiing destination with over 360 inches of snow every year, 3300 skiable acres and 114 trails.
Deer Valley is one of the few skier only resorts left in the United States. The readers of Ski Magazine have rated Deer Valley as the #1 resort in North America five years in a row. Deer Valley is also located close to Park City. It has the distinction of being the first North American resort to provide first class service equal to what you would receive from a 5-star hotel.
Alta, on average, receives more snow than any other Utah resort. It is another ski resort that only allows skiers. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in North America. It features some of the best slopes and powder in the state but for a more reasonable price. Alta also features 2 ski-in and ski-out ski restaurants. Alta has teamed up with Snowbird to offer a daily pass for both resorts to double your on slope fun.
Snowbird is similar to the Park City resorts. It not only features world-class accomodations and skiing, it also focuses on relaxation. Snowbird features more than 85 runs spread out over 2500 skiable acres, and Utah’s only Tram. Snowbird is less than 30 miles from the downtown area. Snowbird has teamed up with Alta to provide a joint pass to both Alta and Snowbird.
Brighton is a local favorite. It has been voted the #1 resort for child and family friendly terrain and best value for 6 years in a row by the locals. It is the only resort in Utah that has all of its terrain accessible from high-speed lifts. Brighton features night skiing from 4 pm to 9pm. Brighton features over 500 inches of snowfall a year and more than 1000 skiable acres.
Solitude is the best kept skiing secret in Utah. Solitude lives up to its name because this place is far from the crowds. The resort features over 1200 acres and both on and off mountain dining. If you want your own little piece of powdered heaven without the crowds Solitude is the place to ski.
